A Cook's Wares®
was started by Byron and Gail Bitar. Byron studied French
cooking while working toward his PhD in Philosophy at the University of
Virginia. That experience later spawned the company, which has operated as
a mail order company since its inception in 1981.
We are located in Western
Pennsylvania about 40 miles north of Pittsburgh in the town of
Beaver Falls. Yes, that is Joe Namath's birthplace and his
childhood home. Our address is A Cook's Wares®,
211 37th Street, Beaver Falls, PA 15010-2103.
Western Pennsylvania is composed of
a myriad of townships. While our post office address is Beaver
Falls, we are located in the township of West Mayfield. We are one
of the few businesses in the township.
We have a store front at our
warehouse. Customers visit us every day. We are fairly close
to the Pennsylvania Turnpike. If you would like to make the trip,
we have a map we can fax you. Send your request by email with your
