1 cup unsalted butter 1 cup sugar 1
large egg 2 tsp vanilla extract 1 tsp almond extract 1 scant
teaspoon salt 2 ½ cups flour
Preheat oven to 375°F
In a large
bowl combine butter and sugar. Beat until light and fluffy.
Beat in the egg, vanilla and almond extracts, and salt. Stir in the
flour until mixed well. Pack the dough into the cookie press as
directed, and fit the press with the desired disk. Press the dough out
onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle each cookie with colored
sugar if desired. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until cookies are
slightly golden around the edges. Transfer cookies to a cooling rack
to cool. Store in an airtight container. These cookies freeze
well. |
